needs!The content of courses 102-
104 are the three subtypes of
Sensory Modulation Disorder:
102 – Sensory Over-Responsivity;
103 – Sensory Under-Responsivity;
104 – Sensory Craving. Courses
105 and 106 focus exclusively on
intervention. (Courses 107-109 are
in development and describe the
other SPD subtypes.)We also have a series of courses
that train examiners on the tests
that have been developed by our
Founder, Dr. Lucy Jane Miller.
Course 120 is administration and
scoring of the Miller Assessment
for Preschoolers (MAP).
Course 121 is administration
and scoring of the FirstSTEp
(Screening Test for Evaluating
Preschoolers). Course 122
provides demonstrations of the
FirstSTEp being administered from
start to finish. First a typically developing child
is tested and then a child with
challenges is tested.The SPD University courses are
approved for continuing education
with AOTA.
